Dr. Jose Cohen, M.D. FACOG-FACS is a Diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Surgery
Dr. Cohen was trained in General Surgery, and Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. He has been a practicing OB-GYN physician at Valley Baptists Medical Center and Director and President of Valley Women's Clinic since 1982. He is also an active attending member at Harlingen Medical Center. Dr. Cohen is an active member of the Valley Baptist Medical Center staff and served as Past Chairman of the OB/GYN department, and in multiple other Medical staff committees.
As a certified specialist in OB/GYN, Dr. Cohen specializes in every phase of a women's health, performs office surgery such as laser, electrosurgery, cryosurgery, and colposcopies. Well women's health maintenance for gynecology: prevention and screenings, with available in house available blood lab, urodynamics, bone density and mammograms. Dr. Cohen has special interest in evaluation and treatment of urinary incontinenece, blader voiding and urethral profiling. In addition, Dr. Cohen has interest in clinical management and treatment of the infertile couple: specializing in infertility evaluation and counseling, artificial insemination and infertility surgery including tubal reversal.
Belinda Ramirez, MSN, WHNP-BC was born and raised in San Benito, TX. She completed high school in three years and graduated with the class of 2000 from San Benito High School. Belinda's educational accomplishments include an Associate Degree of Nursing in 2007 and Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 2009 at the University in Hyden, KY in 2012. Belinda practised as labor and delivery nurse at a local hospital for 5 years.
She is certified by the National Certification Corporation and obatained her advanced pracdtice license by the Texas Board of Nursing in 2012. She is a proud mother of two daughters Mia Marie and Madison Rose. Belinda Ramirez is proud to serve the communinity and be a part of the team at Valley Women's Clinic.
Betty Marlow Friedman APRN, WH was born in California. She graduated from high school, Rift Valley Academy, Kijabe Kenya in 1971 and went on college at Dallas Baptist Univeristy where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing 1975.
She worked at Presbyterian hospital and then went on to work at Parkland Hospital in Labor and Delivery, in Dallas Texas. She then went on to the University of Texas South Western Medical School to receive her certificate as a Nurse Practicener in Women's Health and graduated in 1980. Thereafter, she worked for Greater Dallas Family Planning Clinics until December 1980 at which time she moved to Harlingen.
